The Second

• Plays up to or through the head, strengthening or recovering position.
• Adjusts strategy based on the head’s development and the skip’s instructions.

The Third

The Third is the bridge between the front end and the skip — part tactician, part communicator, and always composed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assists the skip in directing play during ends.
• Measures shots when required and confirms the score at the end of each end.
• Plays a versatile range of shots: draws, on-shots, covering and drives.
